How to Start Entrepreneurial Journey?

 How do you start something you know nothing about?  That's a pretty loaded question for someone who have never own his or her own business. 

Following are some the best advice I have received about what are the steps one should take when starting their entrepreneurial journey or I would say what I am doing right now. 

Youtube is a great way to start!!!

There are lot of people sharing their entrepreneurial journey on youtube and creating amazing content to share with the world for FREE!!! 

This is absolutely amazing thing. One the best blessing of Technology.

Start reading good of books. 

Make a list of books to read that can help you think in the right direction to become entrepreneur. 

Here are some the books I starts with 

- The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It  - by Michael E. Gerber

- Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones - by James Clear

Make a list of useful skills and create plan to learn it. 

Consuming good quality content by books and videos is great but you will surely be bored if you do it too much, so making a list of useful skills to learn or improve, creating a plan to learn and getting started on it will add a great variety of activity for your brain. 

Here are some of the skills I am learning or improving 

- Programming (Backend, Frontend, Cloud skills). I am a software engineer by education, so I have lot of competitive advantage but really there is limit on how much you can improve in this area. Someday I will write a separate blog about it. 

- Marketing (and Sales). This is an obvious thing to learn if you intend to be entrepreneur. Hubspot academy seems like a very good resource to learn this for free. 

- Designing. You don't have to be expert in designing, but having a list of good resource at your disposal is vital to quickly build something decent.

Connect with like minded people. Debate, discuss, brainstorms 

Join community online somewhere, I am sure you will find something in 2021!!!
